Care N' Share Cafe Open Again!!!
After being temporarily closed because of state department of health requirements for an upgrade to a commercial kitchen, the Care N' Share Cafe is once again in operation! The first meal, open to the public, was served on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. The occasion was marked by a report by Lakeland TV News. You can see the report here.

**UPDATE** (Oct. 10, 2010) As of today, $8470 has been received toward the kitchen renovations from readers of this newspaper article! We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of so many people. A deep and heartfelt thanks to all who contributed. God is good!
**UPDATE** (Oct. 23, 2010) Gospel Fest and Bake/Book sale was held tonight at church and $907 was raised toward the kitchen project!
**UPDATE** (Nov. 13, 2010) Two large grants have been awarded to the Care N' Share Cafe. One came a number of weeks ago from the Otto Bremer Foundation for $50,000!! Another was awarded this week. $15,000 will be coming from the Hallett Foundation. The total raised/pledged is now over $140,000.
Offers of labor and materials and some changes in requirements from the state mean that our remodel may very soon begin! Praise God for his goodness and faithfulness! Thanks so everyone who contributed to this project in any way.
**UPDATE** Construction is well under way! The church voted to add an addition to the back of the church for kitchen storage as well as additional class space. This includes a basement area. Only kitchen storage is funded by Care N' Share donations. The rest is being paid for by additional funds paid by the church.
